Tropicalised car

Question : IS it true that some Continental cars are not tropicalised ? What is the real meaning of tropicalised ? Is it a must-do process for all cars ?

Answer : When one says that a car is tropicalised, it is usually in relation to the cooling system where it is fitted with a larger capacity radiator, a different thermostatic fan that engages earlier, a different thermostat and probably additional shrouding round the radiator to improve cooling.

Cars that are assembled locally are already specced for tropical conditions and have all the additional bits put in.

However, many cars that are secondhand imports especially from temperate countries need work to be done on them to reduce the chances o overheating in our climate.
