Murano radio

Question : My Nissan Murano comes with a radio, but it is suitable for use only in Japan. I was told I need to install a booster to rectify it. Is it possible? Where can it be done without a hassle and how much?

Answer : I think what the shop is trying to tell you is that the tunable radio frequency is for the Japanese market and you would need an adapter to convert it to receive our FM frequency band. In the past, we were not permitted to import these radios in our CBU vehicles, but of late they seem to be coming in with no problems. Frankly, unless the radio is a top-end product or is connected to other features such as steering wheel remote, I would throw it away and buy another radio.
