Buy a car

Jerky at times

Question : I AM the owner of a CBU (completely built-up unit) registered in 2007.

My problem started after clocking 40,000km.

Initially, when the car was idling or at a stop sign, there was delay in the power coming upon pressing the accelerator when it was time to move.

After servicing the car and upon adjustment of the timing belt, the problem was solved.

However, the engine is rough and jerky at times, especially when starting the car in the morning and going uphill.

Answer : My suggestion is to get to the franchise holders as they would have the right equipment to check out the fuel/ ignition systems and the automatic transmission as both of them are interlinked.

Sometimes even the authorised workshops are rather limited in what they can do and when you have a problem like yours, it is better to go to a "specialist hospital" rather than a "general hospital".
